Welcome to Preparion!

We’re excited you’re visiting, and hope you choose us for your preparation needs. We want you to understand how we operate, and what to expect when ordering. You’ll be asked to accept these terms, before you can check out.

Shipping
Shipping Region

We only ship within the Contiguous United States.

As much as we’d like to ship outside of this region, many of our items are considered restricted or prohibited by import and export laws, or would be extremely expensive to ship elsewhere.

Shipping Method

All orders ship via:

United Parcel Service or the U.S. Post Office.

Generally, small or light weight orders will be sent through the U.S. Post Office, while large or heavy orders will be shipped via United Parcel Service.

We don’t offer an expedited delivery option, as many of our items would be extremely expensive to ship, or are considered hazardous materials which can’t be shipped by air.

Shipping Fees

Shipping and handling charges are based on the weight of your order, as well as the zip code of the shipping destination. These charges are automatically calculated for you at checkout.

We offer free ground shipping on orders over $99.00 USD.

To qualify for this offer, your purchase total must remain above $99.00 (after coupons and discounts are applied), and the free shipping option must be selected at checkout.

Delivery Estimate

Most orders are processed within one business day, and ship the following business day.  Depending on where we’re shipping to, your package will usually arrive within 7-10 days after placing an order with us.

Shipping and delivery times are estimates only, and may be affected by a surge in demand.  This is often caused by natural disasters, holidays, or supply disruptions, so we can’t guarantee that your order will ship or arrive by a specific date.

Current lead times and anticipated delays are posted on each product page.  We’ll contact you if we expect a significant delay beyond what’s noted there.

Tracking Number

We’ll email your tracking number when we ship your order.  Small single item purchases may be sent via First Class Mail, and won’t have a tracking number.

You can view your order, and track its status from the My Account page.

Oversized Orders

If your order exceeds 150 pounds or 30″ x 30″ x 30″, it must be shipped through a contracted freight service.  This is a special circumstance, so we’ll contact you with a freight quote, arrange for a time and date for delivery.

It’s important that you don’t miss this appointment, or you’ll be charged for redelivery, storage, and/or return freight charges.  If you prefer, you can break your purchase into several smaller orders to avoid using a freight service.

Loss or Damage

If your order was damaged during shipment, we’ll need to file a claim with the carrier. Before issuing a refund, you may be required to:

  • Take photos of the damaged item(s) and the package it arrived in.
  • Save the item(s) and outside packaging.
  • Allow the carrier to inspect the damage.

Typically a replacement or refund will only be issued once the carrier accepts responsibility for the damages, or validates the claim.

Once your order has left our warehouse (and the carrier accepts delivery), all risk of loss is transferred to you.  We won’t reimburse you for lost or stolen packages.

Payment Methods

We currently offer these payment options:

Orders and payments are screened for potentially fraudulent activity.  We may contact you for additional information, but we reserve the right to cancel your order at our discretion.

Your card issuer may also use its own security or validation checks, which may result in a declined authorization.  We don’t have any control over their decisions.

Tax Collection

We don’t collect sales, consumption, or use taxes at checkout.  The State of Oregon doesn’t impose these, and we don’t currently have a nexus in any other state.  Your state may still require you to independently report and pay tax on your purchases.

Return Policy

You can return your order within 30 days of delivery, and we’ll refund 100% of your purchase.  We encourage you to reach out to us first, as we can often work out an arrangement where a return won’t be necessary.  Unless your return is due to an error on our part, we won’t cover the return expense.

These items can’t be returned for a refund:

    • Food or beverage products that have been opened.
    • Items that were noted as clearance or discontinued.
    • Single-use items which have been opened or used.

Examples of single-use items:  glowsticks, hand warmers, disposable gloves, face masks, hygiene products, toiletries, etc.

If you refuse delivery (or your order is undeliverable), your refund will be reduced by our shipping costs, the return shipment cost, and a 15% restocking fee.

Cancellation Policy

There’s no cost to cancel orders that haven’t shipped.  If you cancel an order after shipment, a 15% restocking fee, the shipping cost, and the return shipping cost, will be deducted from your refund.

Pricing Policy

Prices are listed in United States Dollars (USD), and are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors.  This may result in your order being cancelled, even if you’ve received an order confirmation from us.  If we cancel your order, and you were charged for the purchase, we’ll immediately issue a refund.

Inventory
Stock Status

We strive to keep our inventory supply accurate, but there are many things which can affect this count.  Stock status isn’t a guarantee of availability.

If we don’t have an item you ordered, we may hold your entire order until the missing item is back in stock, or we may ship your order in phases.

Description Accuracy

We try to keep our product descriptions are as accurate as possible, but mistakes can happen.  Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that our website content is current, complete, and free of errors.

We also make a reasonable effort to accurately display the colors of our products, but what you see, will depend on your viewscreen.

Item Substitutions

We reserve the right to make product substitutions, as long as the substitution is similar to the item you ordered, and at least equal in value.

Sometimes items are only available in randomly assorted colors or styles, and you may not receive the exact same color or style that we feature.

Product Reviews

Some of our product reviews may have been left in exchange for Prep Points.  When a customer posts a review for the first time, our system automatically credits their account with 50 Prep Points.  This is a one-time credit, and the only compensation we offer.

Although we encourage our customers to share their feedback on products purchased from us, reviews are personal, and can be subjective or based on unique experiences.  When making a purchase, you should never rely on a single opinion.

Notices
Health & Safety

Our content is only intended for informational purposes, and shouldn’t be used as a substitute for actual health or safety advice.  We supply information to the best of our abilities, but can’t guarantee that it’s safe, accurate, or appropriate for your situation.

Use of our content, products, or services, is at your own risk.  It’s your responsibility to make an informed decision, which means you should always consult a licensed professional if in doubt.

Age of Consent

Our website isn’t intended for children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from persons under the age of 13.  We consider the use of a credit or debit card to place an order, as a signal that you’re of the age of majority where you live.

Right to Refuse

We reserve the right to refuse service.  Access to our website doesn’t mean you have the right to purchase the products or services featured, and placing an order with us, doesn’t automatically mean we agree to sell to you.

Your Privacy

We use your personal information to enhance your experience, provide better products or services, and to conduct business with you.
